I am a Northerner, and I love the outdoors. I am a lifelong learner, and committed to continuing my own education, and sharing with others. I have been involved with hunting and fishing since childhood, and appreciate with the blessing of good health, being able to continue to participate fully in these activities along with my kids, their friends, and our wide network of family.

I just started teaching the firearms safety course in 2024, and am very happy to be able to participate in this educational program, especially for younger folks starting out, learning how to handle firearms, and ammunition safely. I have a full time job and kids that keep me pretty busy. I am otherwise involved with Birds Canada as a "citizen scientist" and birdwatcher, I travel to Nunavut on a regular basis and am trying to capture my travels as best I can through journalling, photography, and water colour painting.

My courses are generally on a Saturday and Sunday over a weekend, but sometimes include evenings to accommodate shift workers, or students who travel on weekends often for sports. I teach in English, although I am fluent in Spanish, and conversational in French.
