Many folks choose to drive a little farther to attend at "The Cabin". We work hard to make a long day, fun, interesting, and understandable. Also, often instructors will cancel a class if there are only 1 or 2 students. At Buckeye we have cancelled one class in our history (instructor seriously injured the day before the class started).

Teaching firearms and hunter education is not only my passion, it is also my full time occupation. As an avid hunter and recreational shooter my passion is to take the official training curriculum and package it in a manner that students from 12 to 100+ can understand and enjoy the class (regardless of their past experience). Having taught adults in the computer industry for over 15 years full time, I have developed a keen sense of when a student needs a little extra help. We work exceptionally hard to make sure that all students are well prepared for their testing, regardless of learning or language challenges.

Most of our courses are run in Uxbridge at a facility we call "The Cabin". This is a purpose built 3,500 square foot training center. Uxbridge is about 20 minutes East of Newmarket, or 20 Minutes North of Whitby. The Cabin captures your attention the moment you walk in, whether it's the game mounts on the wall, the antique wood stove, or just all the interesting artifacts, you will know you stepped into a different training environment all together. There is nothing wrong with attending a course in someones basement, or in a strip mall, it's just not as interesting. Being tested at the end of a firearms class can cause people to get pretty anxious, we do an excellent job of putting students at peace, so they can give us their best during testing.
