Introduction

Servicing Midwestern Ontario. Currently teaching in the Grey/Bruce/Saugeen Shores area. Worked as a police officer for over 33 years with the Ontario Provincial Police and was assigned to the Chief Firearms Office of Ontario investigating and issuing Canada Firearms Licences [the “PAL”]. He has instructed in many aspects of training including Firearms Instruction. He now instructs both the Canada Firearms Safety Course [CFSC] and the Canada Restricted Firearms Safety Course [CRFSC] in the Saugeen Shores area. I also assist at courses with other instructor teams in Ontario. He also assists in instuctional courses at the Sydenham Sportsmens Association

About My Courses

Unless otherwise posted, CFSC courses run from 6-10pm on Friday and resumes at 8:00 am on Saturday until about 5pm and includes both written and practical exams that same afternoon. Students must pass both written and practical exams on that day. The 8 hr course minimum does not include the breaks, lunch or testing time. Combined CRFSC students may then return for the CRFSC on the following scheduled day at 8:00am concluding that same afternoon with both the written and practical examinations [fees included]. The 6 hr course minimum as above. Students should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time for final registration. Please bring a blue or black pen for examinations and paper for any notes you wish to make. Laptops are permitted for notetaking and referral to Course Manual during course. WiFi may be available at course site but is not confirmed. Manuals may be purchased through the instructor. Students must be in full attendance throughout the course each day to meet the Canada Firearms Program standards. Two pieces of valid photo identification is REQUIRED TO BE SHOWN on the course day [driver's licence; birth certificate; passport, etc]. One must contain a current photo. Please remember to bring it with you to show the instructor! NOTE: Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Payment is made in full through instructor with registration and attendance will then be confirmed via return email from instructor. There are no refunds if student chooses to withdraw or fails to show. There is an additional prior $60.00 cash fee if retesting is required on course dates. NO LIVE AMMUNITION OR FIREARMS may be brought to the course site.
