In accordance with direction from the Provincial Government, the FSESO Administration office is closed indefinitely.
All Canadian Firearms Safety Courses are currently suspended by order of the Chief Firearms Officer. We have no information regarding the resumption of courses.
Please be advised we are not processing course paperwork or selling student manuals at this time. If you are waiting for your course paperwork, or require replacement paperwork, we will be unable to assist you until the office reopens for regular business. If you require a student manual, please contact us when the office reopens.
Please note we will not be checking emails or voicemails while the office is closed.
The Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO) is an association of firearms safety instructors.
Our instructors are designated by the Chief Firearms Office to teach and examine the Canadian Firearm Safety Course (CFSC) and/or Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course in Ontario.
Taking the CFSC/CRFSC In Ontario
New applicants for a Possession and Acquisition Licence must successfully complete the CFSC and/or CRFSC course and exam prior to applying for their licence. Participation in classroom training is mandatory and applicants are no longer eligible to complete a challenge test.
Students who have taken a CFSC/CRFSC Course and exam with an FSESO instructor will receive a stamped copy of their CFSC/CRFSC student report form from the FSESO administration office approximately 4-6 weeks from the date the paperwork is received in our office.
